August 6th, 2016, Roslyn and friends

I wanted to take Roslyn  sailing for a long time. When I met Marg and Bianca at the Memorial of Roslyn's mom and was able to convince them to come aboard as  crew, then I invited Roslyn for an afternoon sail . I then realized that Roslyn is actually  as seasoned sailor. I also invited my good friend David and his friend Arturo to join us. The sail started with heavy weather, but RA had no problem keeping the group comfortable with the minimum sail plan of the mizzen and staysail.
We were very lucky to avoid the heavy weather that was on land. We managed to motor home with minimum exposure to the big storm.
The crew were all unfazed with the weather conditions considering the It was the first trip for my new crew, Marg and Bianca on board. I was really impressed by them handling the boat and the weather and the guests under these conditions:
I was also very happy to see our new friend Joanie enjoying the trip in spite the weather.
Here is

what they wrote in the log:

"My dearest Asaad, you are a wonderful friend and amazing Captain. Thank you so much for helping us find new life on your beautiful RA. May spirit bless and keep you always, and may the wind be always at your back. Thank you for being such a good friend and generous soul. Love,Light and friendship always, Roslyn, Miami!"

"Excellent storm sailing! Pleasure to be on R for the first time!, Arturo"

July 6th, 2016, Andrew Sherry and Family

It was a wonderful coincident for Andrew to meet me and to learn about my charter business. When it was time to have a family reunion, he decided the have the family gathering aboard my humble ship sailing on the beautiful waters of Biscayne bay.  They came from Orlando, Washington DC , New York and Coconut Grove.
I recommended that we sail in the morning. They really have a good Karma, the morning rain subsided exactly the time we were supposed to set sail also later on in the evening, my sunset sail had to deal with some foul weather.
We started with the Main, Mizzen and Staysail. RA was going on a even comfortable pace. On the way back, since the wind was behind us and it appeared that we were going on a slower pace, Andrew suggested that we raise the forward Jib. and wow, they were really impressed with RA under f

ull sail, a real special treat, that the group really appreciated.
That day was also the first time I have Marg and Bianca as crew on RA.
It was great having them aboard. their presence added a level of hospitality to the trip.
Here is what they wrote in the log:

" Could not have had a better time, Thanks, Pete"

"The Sherry crew had a great time! Thank you for a nice day of sun and sailing, Anja, Jimmy, Johana, Atena, Pete & Cici"
