Februarry 25th, 2012, Ximena & The Peruvian Ladies

Ximena was on RA last June. She had such a great time, so now she is visiting Miami with her friends from Peru and sailing on Biscayne Bay on the sailing vessel  RA was a must do for the group. The weather was great for sailing. I raised the main, Mizzen and small jib. Seasoned sailors would have enjoyed the exiting sail, however it was a bit too much for the ladies, so I dropped the man once behind key Biscayne. It was good having two strong men for crew, Andrew and Bobby. having Bobby  was an added bonus for the ladies. they all had a reflexology session while under sail. Here is what they wrote in the log:

"Great experience with 4 good friends. Excellent sailing, nice view. Thanks a lot. We really enjoyed it, Xime S, Xime D, Vinka, Fiore & Ceci   Peruvian Girls ( : .

" Thank you very much Captain Asaad !! It always  a pleasure sailing with you ( :
My friends and I have a wonderful time !! Just what we need for a vacation time with girlfriends. I hope to see you soon again ! Ximena"

February 18th, 2012, Captain Jo's 80th B day

Sylvia asked her Grand mother if she would rather have a big party with all her friends and family , or a day sail on Biscayne Bay. Jo being an old salt chose a day sail with her family, on board was her daughter, Sylvia who organized the event, Crystal, her son John and his wife Patricia, also Guillermo, Kalie,Catlin and Josephine. We had four generations on board what a way to celebrate.. John and Jo were telling all their Sea stories, what a lady Jo is. I want to be like her when I get to be her age. Here is what Sylvia wrote in the log:

For my grandmother's 80th birthday we went on a wonderful sail with Captain Asaad on the RA.
It was a perfect sunset over the ocean. Thank yo so much for this memory, Sylvia"

Not knowing what a great lady Captain Jo was, I thought I better invite My friend Shayne to come as a crew to help with the sailing and the children.  So it was a pleasure having her aboard,

February 18th, 2012, Mrtha,Lilly & Ami

Martha had  her friend Lily visiting her from Chicago. She knew that Lily will enjoy a day on the water, so she arranged for her to come aboard RA for a sail on Biscayne Bay. I also invited my friend Ami and his friend Xemena, on board also was Talal and his girl friend. The day started with very little wind, the sun was shining. The ladies had their Bikinis on and stretched on the foredeck to soak up Miami's Sunshine. Later they decided to cool off. Well Believe it or not, they all went swimming while RA was under full sail. Here is what Lily wrote in the log:
Dear Captain Asaad, This day was a dream come alive from my seven year old mind! Dolphins swimming, Pelicans fishing, sparkling water and the most elegant boat and captain, Thank you, lily"

February 14th, 2012, Eva's Valentine's day

I wanted to do something special for my friend Eva for Valentine's Day. I gave her several suggestions, theater, a dinner out or a few hours sailing on Biscayne bay. Well she chose sailing. I also invited my friend Charles to come as a crew, also to show Eva the ropes, excuse the pun, so Eva can be my first mate in the future. The day started rocky for Eva. She had to go back to her office to see an unexpected patient. She also had to arrange for somebody to pick up her daughter from school. But I it was all worth it. I believe she had a good Valentin's Day. Here is what she wrote in the log:
"Thank you for a very beautiful day of sailing. It was a pleasure! Eva"

January 30th, 2012, The Markel Group

They came from different parts of the world to meet in the Magic City, Miami. and of course they were advised by Madeleine Kelly the great concierge of the W hotel that sailing on the RA, in the famed Biscayne bay will be a very special experience that will be remembered by all especially the group who came from London England.  As Heidi puts it, Madeleine told them you can golf any where but Biscayne bay is a unique resource and you can enjoy it only  here. The weather could not have been better for sailing. It was blowing steady 25 Knots, gusting up to 30. I raised the mizzen and the stay-sail. the boat loved it so the guests. We were making over 5 knots. I took them behind Biscayne bay to have a sheltered reprieve from the wind for a while. I also took them to the ocean to experience the open water of the Atlantic. They enjoyed it all. Here is what they wrote in the log:

" Dear Captain Asaad, Thank you for a very memorable and enjoyable cruise. Several of our group had never been sailing before and our experience was delightful. Your love of sailing was easy to see and definitely made the trip feel safe and fun. Thank you for the conversations and laughs! Kind Regards, the Markel team, Heidi, Julian, Juliet, Jeremy, Rob, Terri, Stuart and John

On board as a crew was Charles Azar and Shayne Benowitz. It was Shayne's first time aboard the RA, Here is what Shayne wrote in the log:

"Asaad, Thanks so much for a lovely afternoon and a beautiful sunset on Biscayne Bay, Shayne."

Martha & Ami, January 29th, 012

Martha ,and her partner Marcella and Marcella's dd Marcelo who was here from Argentina came a board RA for a pin on our great Biscayne bay. I also invited my good friend Ami \> I had to convince them that the weather will cooperate. So i was lucky that the weather in spite of the clouds, did indeed cooperate. at the end of the day we all had a good time:
Here is what Martha wrote in the ship's log:
"Dear Captain Asaad, This is the most delightful Birthday ! You are THE Captain to sail with. The seas should be honored to have you navigate them. In all my sea experiences, I have never encountered such a performance. all my Love, Martha Greenlee"

I am really flattered by Maratha's comments. She is really a sweet lady.
