"Dear Captain Asaad, our journey today was more beautiful than words can describe. Thanks for the serene yet exciting afternoon under a beautiful Miami sun.

September 5th, 2011, Professor Thor Bruce, Patty and the crew

Thor invited Patty, and her son Chris and Peter, her Rotary exchange student from Norway to enjoy a day sailing on our great sailing waters of Miami's Biscayne bay. Originally he was planning to take them on one of Shake a Leg Miami small boats. But at the last minute he found out that Shake a Leg was not open for business on that day because of the labor day holiday. He called me to save the day and I sprung into action, and got RA ready to receive them. The weather could not have been any better. Chris and Peter were great crew and the experience was enjoyed by all. Here is what they wrote in the log:

Captain Asaad: Thank you for sailing with us. This is the first time I sail in the USA. It was a perfect day. The sun was shining and good wind. The RA is a good boat who sails very fast. Regards from the Rotary Norwegian exchange student Peder Weierholt."

" Dear Captain Asaad: As we motor out of the marina towards the bay, the humidity seems to drop, the view of Miami gets prettier and the stress of life just evaporate up into the clear blue sky above us. I can feel the calmness of the Captain, his years of experience make me feel even more at ease. The wonderful thunder clouds form a beautiful back drop for the Miami sky line as we sit and toast champagne, compliments of the God of thunder, Thor. Thank you for an absolutely delightful afternoon with the most perfect weather any captain could possibly  have ordered up. Your boat is sexy, so is the Captain..... like fine wine, keep getting better with the years, just don't let your cork dry up. that was the best sailing ever. Patty Rollinson"
"Thanks for a great day on the Bay.

This is the first time I remember you showing off all four sails in various configurations. The “new” Ra is truly impressive.

In heavy seas and major wakes from large power boats, the Ra sliced smoothly through all the turbulence with grace and silence. This was a great experience"

August 28th, 2011, Ceci Velasco, MBCC

Ceci had her friends Trudy Hoffer  and David Berky who came all the way from Illinois to enjoy Miami's sunshine ans sailing on Biscayne Bay. Ceci was able to arrange fo beautiful sailing conditions. Being the VP for the Miami Beach Chamber of commerce, somehow she used her powers to order a chamber of Commerce weather. Needles to say we had a spectacular few hours of sailing. Here is what they wrote in the log:
"Captain Asaad, Thank you for a lovely boat ride! It was just beautiful and your sailing was perfect! Loved your stories about Egypt and Africa. We will remember this afternoon. Thanks for taking us as your's and Ceci's Guests, Trudy Haffer and David Berky, Springfield, IL"

"Captain Asaad, Thank you for such a relaxing boat sail. This was certainly a memorable adventure! I didn't realize the techincalities envolved in sailing. Such a wonderful experience overall. I would love to come out again !
XOXO, Shirley Luoni"

"Capt, Another summer day on Biscayne bay. The NO 1 most relaxing way to spend a Sunday. Thank you for calling in the perfect weather. Of course a perfect Chamber day, Ceci Velasco."
