July 24th, 2011, Gary Senk and the Dale C crowd

It was that time again for Gary to bring his Dale Carnegie graduates to enjoy a day on our great Biscayne Bay.
It was a short spin, but a nice one. some of the guests were never on a sail boat before, so it was an exciting new adventure for them.
Here are some of the comments on the ship's log:
" Another wonderful sailing experience. Thank you Captain Asaad, xoxxo, Clarissa"
"A wonderful relaxing evening. Thanks so much, Jeremy  &; Tim"
" Thank you for letting me drive Captain! was a great first sailing experience. I will be looking for further training, Maribel

The first sunset without rain in weeks and no mosquitos that alone would make me happy this time of year.
We had an excellent crew. My associate from Dale Carnegie Clarisa and he friend Maribel (her first sail) made the most of this afternoon. Jon brought his roommates Jeremy and Tim. Representing the UM Ratskeller was Katie. Carolyn came along with her friend and coworker Martia another first time sailor.
The sky was overcast but that was fine it kept the July Miami sun off of us.

July 24th. 2011, Alfonso and friends

Alfonso booked me thru Group on to experience what sailing was all about. He brought his colleagues from work and his friends. We all had a good time in spite of the brief gentle showers that cooled everybody off.

July 8th, 2011, Dawn Alvarez & frinds

Dawn booked that day almost 4 months ago for her lady friends from Ohio. This is a special girls weekend in our fair City, Miami by the bay. On board were, Dawn, Charlene, Shanon,Tia and Rene.  Of course the best part of their visit was to sail on our great Biscayne Bay. According to the weather man, it was going to be a tropical wave , with the rain and wind etc.  Dawn called me the day before to cancel. It was really a heart breaker to scrub the best part of their trip. Well the man was wrong again, it ended up a great day for sailing, so we did have a great sail, under full sail. It could not have been better conditions, 10-15 knots of wind, partly cloudy  and the sun peeking out one in a whilw, not a single drop of rain. . Needless to say the ladies had a great time. Here is what dawn wrote :

Thank you Captain. We had a splendid day. Thank Goodness we did not let the forecast scare us, Dawn.

July 2nd, 2011, Todd Bogart

Todd booked me thru Groupon, he came with his wife and friends to enjoy a sail on Miami's Biscayne Bay. No body have experienced sailing except for Larry, whose experience left a lot to be desired. Thanks to the weather, we did have a great day. It started a little too slow, 4-5 knots of wind, but as the day progressed the wind did pick up. Todd enjoyed the experience and actually booked me for another charter in September.
Here is what they wrote in the log:

"Captain, Thanks for your hospitality. We really enjoyed the time and will do it again soon, Thanks, Todd"

Captain Asaad, Thank you for the gorgeous experience of seeing the dolphins and Biscayne Bay beauty, May God bless you always, Nildy Carolyn and Liza"

June 30th, 2011, Jorge Guerra & Family

They came from Mexico with the intention to live in Miami, The Magic City By Biscayne bay. Right after they closed on their new home, it was time to experience the great sport of sailing on Biscayne Bay. It was a great day for sailing, joing us was Daniella Moor as a hostess. Jorge and his son Jorge Jr. were very interested in learning about sailing, they participated in the running of the ship, asked questions, even requested to have a session on the points of sails and illutrations etc. They were very impressed by how sailing  and harnesing the wind and tacking, and Jibing works.
here is what Jorge wrote in the log:

" Had a super great time with Captain Asaad. Learned a lot, had a blast with the family and probably started a new passion for sailing, Jorge Guerra"
